The Ben 10 range of toys is showing no signs of falling in popularity. Now in its fifth year of production, the line of alien action figures and role play toys is soon to be joined by a whole new raft of toys. These Ben 10 Ultimate Alien toys will accompany the new cartoon series set to debut this spring on Cartoon Network. The new toys should be shop ready by the fall, just in time for Christmas shoppers.

The range will include more alien action figures, presumably to match those about to be unveiled in the new show. Rumours are flying that there will be more than ever so look out for loads of the little devils cluttering up your kids room very soon. Perhaps more central to the Ben 10 story is the Omnitrix watch that allows Ben, the main hero character, to transform into these alien characters. The new toy version of this mysterious watch is going to be called the Ben 10 Ultimatrix and is sure to be a must have toy this coming holiday season.

These new toys were recently unveiled at the New York Toy Fair, along with a new Alien Creation System. This is a development of the Alien Creation Chamber and associated figures which have been popular this year following their introduction as part of the Alien Force toy line. They allow kids to take the action figures to pieces and create all new versions in a creative mix and match type way. The new system promises to put kids imaginations to the test with the ability to make thousands of newly combined aliens.

Produced by Bandai, these toys mark a continued shift towards toys that encourage imagination and creativity in children. The global recession has forced toy manufacturers to come up with ‘better’ toys that parents consider offer both value for money in terms of educational and traditional play.
