These factory refurbished laptops can be purchased for much cheaper due to a reduction in demand after the holidays. Leading up to the holidays, it’s a seller’s market. The refurbishing companies can ask for higher prices because the demand for computers is through the roof. With many people shopping for computers around this time, finding a deal isn’t exactly easy. However, if you wait until after Christmas, you’ll find that it’s a buyer’s market. Companies often have a surplus of computers and need to make room for new products. They’ll likely offer these laptops (already discounted due to being refurbished) for an even cheaper price. Look for savings of 40% or more.
You can also find great deals after Thanksgiving. The sales the day after Thanksgiving often give excellent discounts, even on refurbished systems. While the lines might be out the door, you’ll more than likely make out like a bandit on a great refurbished laptop.
Waiting until the end of the month may also help out, depending on the company. Some companies have quotas to meet, and when those quotas aren’t met, they may offer significant discounts to customers who simply ask for one. Try this method out; you might just end up with a great deal.
