It might be surprising to note that women aren’t the only ones being judge by their looks in the workplace. More and more, older men are feeling the pressure to upgrade their appearance as the younger generation are looking more fit and stylish.
Perhaps you have heard the term metrosexuals – a new breed of men who are very proud of their appearance and they groom and dress accordingly. This is not necessarily a bad thing as we should all strive to put our best face forward. It just makes the older folks uneasy because it represents a potential change in their daily routines in how they dress.
The skinny business suits are a perfect example in what the younger men wear. This can be very intimidating for the older gentlemen only familiar with his traditional business attire. After all, a settled married life may have made him soft and rounded in the tummy area. Again, this might be a new concept for the older gentleman but that’s what the younger kids are wearing underneath their skinny clothes.
