To think that less than a decade ago, we were all using floppy disks to transport all of our information, times sure have changed. There are so many reasons why pen drives are so widely and commonly used. They are durable, reliable, inexpensive and very portable. You can store literally thousands of times more information with these little drives that you could have ever hoped to, using the old floppy disks. Where else can you find a device that can hold your pictures, music and other media and fit comfortably in your pocket.

What else can you expect from thumb drives in the near future? Who knows, the sky is the limit. We very well could be walking around with entire operating systems in our pockets. Perhaps all we will need to do is plug our portable flash drives into a keyboard that is attached to a monitor and all of our saved files and other information will be right there at our beck and call. Although no one can know for sure exactly what will become of these micro drives, there is one thing that you can bet on, they will continue to amaze us with the way that they enhance our lives.
