When purchasing infant boy clothing, there are many things that you want to consider before making a purchase. Baby’s grow fast, so they grow out of their clothing fast. You want to be sure what sizes you need to buy and know the difference between sizes. You also want to consider the fabrics used and what the seasons are going to be at the different sizes that you are buying. Getting clothes for your little one is a lot harder than buying clothes for yourself because they change so rapidly that one day they can be in one size, and the next they have moved to something completely different.

Many parents get newborn size clothing and 0-3 months clothing mixed up. When you are having a baby, you do not want to buy many newborn sized clothing unless you know for certain that you are going to be having a small baby. Most newborns grow out of newborn clothes within the first month. It is far more practical to buy a few items in newborn size and spend more time on items that are sized 0-3 months. Many babies are born long enough to never be able to fit into newborn clothing. If your family has a history of tall men, then you may want to consider not buying anything newborn sized and stick to 0-3 months all together.

Once your baby has moved from 0-3 months size clothing, they will usually move into size 3-6 months. This, for most parents, is the most confusing time when it comes to clothing sizes. Some babies will grow at a slower speed where they will need to stay in this clothing range for a while. Other babies will zoom right though this stage and move right to 6-9 months. It’s better on your budget to buy a few things this size and see how they fit.

When buying cute baby clothes for your baby, make sure that the fabric used is soft and not scratchy. You will also want to avoid fabrics that are stiff or bunch up easily. All this can cause your baby to become uncomfortable and irritable. Make sure to stock up on plenty of hats, socks, onesies, and sleepers. They will make a great foundation for your baby’s wardrobe and save you a lot of hassle in the long run. If you are not sure what to do about something, then ask a friend who has had kids. They are usually the best people to go to for advice and they will usually have tons of it for you!
